Lash Extension Aftercare

Beautiful retention begins at home. Thoughtful care preserves both the integrity of your extensions and the health of your natural lashes.

The First 24 Hours

Because LED-cured adhesive is used, your lashes are fully cured before you leave your appointment. However, during the first day it is best to avoid prolonged steam exposure, intense workouts, or excessive manipulation. Allow your lashes to settle without unnecessary friction or added products along the lash line.

Cleansing & Daily Care

Clean lashes retain beautifully. Skincare, sunscreen, natural oils, and environmental debris collect along the lash line and must be removed regularly to maintain retention and comfort. A lash-extension-safe, oil-free cleanser should be used consistently — particularly if you wear eye makeup, exercise frequently, or have oil-prone skin. Cleanse gently along the lash line, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry. Once fully dry, softly brush through the lashes to maintain alignment and separation.

Products & Ingredients to Avoid

Oil-based products and heavy creams can weaken adhesive bonds and reduce longevity. Avoid applying oil-based cleansers, makeup removers, or rich eye creams directly along the lash line. Waterproof mascara and creamy liners should also be avoided, particularly with volume and mega volume sets. If mascara is worn on classic lashes, choose a water-based formula and apply lightly to the tips only.

Lifestyle Considerations

Retention is influenced by daily habits and environment. Excessive steam, frequent eye rubbing, face-down sleeping, and high oil production can shorten the life of your extensions. A silk or satin pillowcase may help reduce friction while sleeping. Swimming and exercise are safe; simply rinse and cleanse afterward to maintain freshness and balance.

Grooming & Maintenance

Brush your lashes gently once daily while dry to preserve shape and direction. Never pick, twist, or pull extensions, as this can compromise natural lash health and future retention. Fills are typically recommended every three to four weeks to maintain fullness and structure. Consistency supports both longevity and natural lash integrity.

Long-Term Lash Health

Healthy natural lashes are the foundation of every beautiful set. Consistent maintenance, proper cleansing, and gentle handling ensure your lashes remain strong, balanced, and comfortable over time. If you experience irritation, unusual shedding, or changes in sensitivity, contact the spa promptly so adjustments can be made.

Lash Appointment Policies

If more than 60% of your lashes are detached or grown out at any time
It will be considered a new, full set of lashes.

7-21 Day Fills: No more than 50% loss of initial set
22-28 Day Fills: No more than 60% loss of initial set

After 28 Days You will, quite possibly, need a new full set of lashes. Even if you have great lash retention, lashes need maintenance to ensure your lashes are happy and healthy. We must remove lashes that are grown out to prevent them from causing damage to the natural lash. This takes more time and work than a full set and you will be charged accordingly.

Lash Fills
Other Artists Work

If you currently have eyelash extensions on from another lash artist, there may be the possibility that your current extensions will need to be removed and put back on properly.

Due to the unregulated nature of eyelash extension trainings, certifications and state board regulations, there are many lash artists that have had improper training, not enough training, or no training at all.
My priority is your natural lash health and eye safety. Therefore, if you are coming in for a touch up from another lash artist, then you agree that your current extensions may need to be removed and a new full set applied at the appropriate full set price.

This will be discussed in person and explained in full prior to any service being performed.

Lash Cleanliness

Please thoroughly remove all makeup before coming to your lash session.

Eyes must be clean and oil free upon arrival otherwise we will charge a $15 makeup removal fee and the time spent thoroughly removing your makeup will be deducted from your session and you will still pay full price for both the session and cleansing fees.

We are unable to properly adhere semi-permanent lash extensions on lashes that have makeup/residue buildup and in more serious cases, it can lead to irritation and infection.
